We’ve been operating in Asia since 1997. On this vast continent, our work focuses on Central Asia and South-East Asia, where we work actively to fight poverty by ensuring sources of financing for micro-entrepreneurs.
We’ve chosen to focus on Central Asia and South-East Asia. In these two regions, the poorest people have very little access to the necessary sources of financing to develop their activities and to create stable and gainful employment.
We work with microfinance institutions to make up for this lack of financing. Working at the heart of local communities, these institutions act as catalysts in the fight against poverty and financial exclusion by providing loans to micro-entrepreneurs and households that want to start their own business.
In South-East Asia, we also support a small but growing portfolio of agricultural businesses whose activities range from growing pineapples to producing cinnamon. This is critical to support development in these regions, to create new economic opportunities for their inhabitants and to help reduce poverty.
In Asia, we are active in: Cambodia, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Mongolia, Myanmar, Philippines and Tajikistan.
Our investment managers in Cambodia and Kyrgyzstan ensure a constant presence in the two regions and have an in-depth understanding of the needs of our partners and the local populations.
